Differences in PTI AJK surface, Senior Minister decides to resign

MUZAFFARABAD: Differences in the newly-established Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) surfaced as the senior minister has decided to resign.

According to a private news channel, Senior Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas was not happy with his current status as he was initially considered suitable for the slot of the premiership of the AJK.

According to the sources, the spokesperson of the senior minister AJK declined to confirm or deny the report of Sardar Tanveer Ilyas’ decision to tender his resignation.

The senior minister was not happy with his new assignment and to acknowledge his annoyances, he did not participate in the first-ever meeting of the cabinet.

And, the spokesperson of Sardar Tanveer Ilyas also confirmed that due to a busy schedule, the senior minister would also not join the next cabinet meeting going to be held in Muzaffarabad.

The sources said that Sardar Tanveer would continue to serve as a member of the Azad Kashmir Assembly even after his resignation from the ministry. TF Report
