US diplomat hands over 0.3m Pfizer shots to Punjab govt

LAHORE: US Consul General in Lahore William Wil K. Makaneole on Tuesday handed over 0.3 million doses of Pfizer vaccine to combat the coronavirus spread.

The US diplomat handed over the Pfizer doses to the authorities during his visit to Expo Centre, the vaccination center in Lahore.

Accepting the vaccine, Punjab Health Minister Yasmin Rashid said that a large number of Pfizer vaccine doses have arrived in Pakistan and these are being inoculated to the age group of children from 15 to 18.

She said that the Punjab government is running a vaccination drive and over 50 percent of people have been vaccinated yet.

She thanked the US government for handing over 320,580 doses of the Pfizer vaccine to the Punjab government. TF Report
