Shehzad challenges Shehbaz to file petition under section 265-K in AC
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister’s Adviser on Accountability Mirza Shehzad Akbar Wednesday challenged Shehbaz Sharif to file a petition under Section 265-K in the Accountability Court.
The PM’s aide in a new tweet rejected Nawaz League President Shehbaz Sharif’s claims about the UK court decision.
He clarified in the tweet that the UK court’s decision couldn’t clear Shehbaz Sharif from money laundering cases in Pakistan. He said there was nothing new in his press conference.
The PM’s aide said that Shehbaz Sharif had repeated all the things that were already being said by his disciples for the last two days.
He said that withdrawal of AFO from Salman Shehbaz’s accounts in London could not free Shehbaz Sharif from two money laundering cases in Pakistan.
Advisor to PM said Shehbaz Sharif must try to file a petition under section 265-K of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1898 before the Accountability Court if he was ensured about acquittal in the money laundering case in the UK.
Section 265-K is the power given to the court to acquit the accused at any stage. The petition under section 265-K could be filed at any stage of the proceeding in the court. TF Report
