PM plans to give ‘subsidised petrol’ to low-income people

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday directed the ministers to make a plan to provide subsidized petrol to low-income people.

According to a private news channel, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail told the media after a meeting that inflation in the country would reduce next week. Sindh Governor said there was a wave of inflation in the world which had also affected Pakistan.

He said flour was the most expensive in Sindh, adding that profiteers were making things artificially expensive in the country. He said the government had made a plan to take action against profiteers.

On a query, he said there was no discussion on the opposition alliance—the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), in the meeting because there was no fear of it.

He told the journalists that a plan to provide petrol at a subsidized rate to motorcycles, rickshaws and public transport would be presented at the next meeting. TF Report
