PPP holds protests against inflation countrywide
ISLAMABAD: On the direction of the party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Friday staged protest demonstrations across the country.
The PPP workers took the streets in different districts and cities of the county including Karachi, Jaffarabad, Machh, Dera Ghazi Khan, Shangla, Mastung, Khyber, Charsadda, Lora Lai, Larkana, Kalat, Khanewal, Chitral, Kachhi, Toba Tek Singh, Nowshera, Punjgur, Mansehra, Dera Ismail Khan, Shaheed Benazir Abad, Sanghar, Sajawal, Dadu, and Ghotki.
The report said that Bilawal directed the party workers that they should hold protests against the high inflation, unemployment, and law and order situation in the country.
PPP leader Mir Haider Khan Jamali led the protest in Jaffarabad, Abdur Rasheed Abro in Machh, Ali Murad Khetran in DG Khan, Qasim Alizai in Mastung, Senator Bahramand Tangi in Charsadda, Hassam ud Din in Lora Lai, Jameel Soomro in Larkana, Malik Asmat Ullah in Kalat, Mazhar Ali Khan Chohan in Khanewal, Aslam Bohar in Dhadhar, Mian Islam Abid and Mazhar Kahloon in Toba Tek Singh, Agha Shah Hussain in Punjgur, MNA Rafique Ahmad Jamali in Dadu, Mir Babar and Abdul Bari Patafi in Ghotki.
PPP leader Shazia Murree participated in the protest rally in district Sanghar riding over a camel-cart while actor Ayub Khosa joined the party protest in district Shaheed Benazir Bhutto on a bicycle.
Addressing the protestors, the PPP leaders said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had failed to control inflation in the country so he should immediately step down.
The protestors were carrying placards and banners against the sitting government of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and PM Imran. They also chanted slogans in favor of Bilawal as the future prime minister. TF Report
