PPP alleges blatant rigging in KPK LB election

KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party vice president, Senator Sherry Rehman has alleged rigging in KPK local bodies elections by provincial government.
In a statement, she said that results of 120 polling stations have been submitted with inordinate
delay. “Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan to take cognizance of the purported rigging and probe the presiding officers concerned about late submissions,” she said adding 30 presiding officers have gone out of scene soon after the polling process. She has also asked the electoral body to know the whereabouts of the ‘missing’ officials.
Senator Sherry Rehman likened the alleged electoral ‘rigging by provincial government’ in KPK local bodies election with the rigging in Daska by-election. ‘The KPK Govt has replicated modus operandi of Daska
election rigging here in local bodies polls’, claimed PPP leader. TF REPORT
