Romanian PM lauds Pakistan’s role in context of Afghan situation
BUCHAREST: Romanian Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca has lauded Pakistan’s role in the context of the Afghan situation.
Talking to Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi during a meeting in Bucharest, he was also appreciative of the cooperation extended by Pakistan for the evacuation of Romanian nationals from Afghanistan.
On his arrival at the PM Office, Foreign Minister Qureshi was received by the Romanian Chief of Protocol.
In his remarks, Foreign Minister Qureshi expressed Pakistan’s desire to develop a broad-based relationship with Romania. He said improvement in bilateral relations between Pakistan and Romania in different fields in recent times is a manifestation of the vision of the leadership of both countries.
The Foreign Minister also apprised the Romanian Prime Minister about the situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir as well as Pakistan’s positive role in Afghanistan.
The foreign minister conveyed good wishes from Prime Minister Imran Khan and highlighted the historic and cordial ties between the two countries.
The foreign minister lauded the anti-COVID measures by Romania and thanked the Romanian PM for a donation of 500,000 doses of anti-COVID vaccines to Pakistan by his government.
Discussing the regional and international matters, the foreign minister particularly highlighted the Indian human rights abuses in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and the situation in Afghanistan.
He also appreciated Romania’s role to support Pakistan in obtaining the GSP Plus facility.
Prime Minister Nicolae Ciucă appreciated the role of Pakistan in the context of Afghanistan particularly for the evacuation of the Romanian citizens. TF REPORT
