Usman Buzdar’s resignation as Punjab CM challenged in LHC

LAHORE: The resignation given by Sardar Usman Buzdar as Punjab chief minister was challenged in the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday.

In the petition, in which Punjab chief secretary and others were made the respondents, Tanveer Sarwar, the citizen, argued that Buzdar’s
the resignation was not addressed to the provincial governor, but to Prime Minister.

“Furthermore, contrary to the constitutional obligation, he did not write it himself,” he said and prayed to the court to declare
acceptance of Buzdar’s resignation ‘unconstitutional’. TF REPORT
