MULTAN: In a shocking incident, a woman passenger was gang-raped in a train by its staff in Rohri.
According to details, Bahauddin Zakariya Express departed to Karachi from Multan on May 27. When the train reached Rohri railway station on May 28, the ticket checker, in-charge and another person gang-raped a woman traveling on the train.
Police on Monday registered a case of sexual assault on the woman by the train staff. Meanwhile, SP Railways, Karachi Division, Kausar Abbas has been appointed the inquiry officer of the case.
Police have formed teams to arrest the culprits. The authorities have sought details of the incident from the DS Multan and DS Karachi.
On the other hand, the Railway administration said that the Bahauddin Zakariya Express was a private train and its staff was also private. TF REPORT
