Bajwa becomes first COAS to attend Royal Parade in UK
LONDON: General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) was the Chief Guest on Passing out Parade of 213 Regular Commissioning Course known as Sovereign’s Parade held at Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS) UK, on Friday, the ISPR said.
Apart from UK cadets, 41 International cadets from 26 different countries were among passed out cadets. Two Pakistani Cadets from Pakistan Military Academy Cadet Muhammad Abdullah Babar Malik and Cadet Mujtaba Ahmed Malik were among the passing out course.
On arrival at RMAS, the COAS was presented salute by the parade. COAS reviewed the Parade. The parade March past the saluting dias.
The army chief also addressed the parade. He congratulated the passing out cadets on achieving this milestone. COAS also gave awards to distinguished cadets.
He stressed to preserve the vitality, relevance and internal sense of impartiality in multilateral institutions, maintain consensus on the collective defense of global commons and uphold the prestige of
international law to maintain the world peace.
