Graduation Ceremony of 1st SMC, 5th CSTP at Sindh Govt Officers Club
KARACHI: Chief Secretary Sindh Dr Muhammad Sohail Rajput while speaking during the ceremony appreciated the hard work & quality assurance by the Faculty in conducting these trainings, in spite of the facts that the TMR Wing faced many resource constraints due to being a relatively newer Department.
The Chief Secretary acknowledged that the training courses should be more strengthened & more modernised to make the Officers better able to come up to the expectations of general public. He strongly advised the trainee officers that they must display the spirit of public service and must have empathetic attitude to feel the pain of sufferings of the poor & downtrodden, particularly in the current situation of flood calamity in the province, so that they might be able to extend their sincere efforts to solve their problems.
The Chief Secretary Dr Muhammad Sohail Rajput congratulated the trainee officers on successful completion of their trainings & wished them the best ahead in their careers.
In his welcome address, the Secretary TMR Wing Mr. Rafique Mustafa Shaikh, informed the forum that the SMC was a 17-Week Mandatory Training Course, designed for the BS-19 Provincial Civil Servants of Govt. of Sindh. Under 1st SMC, 24 Cadre Officers belonging to Ex-PCS and PSS underwent the Training from 22nd April, 2022 to 19th August, 2022.
The 5th CSTP was a 17- Week Mandatory Induction Training Course, designed for the newly recruited PMS Officers of Govt of Sindh.
5th CSTP was conducted from 27th May, 2022 to 30th Sept, 2022 and 35 PMS
Probationary Officers underwent this training.
The Secretary TMR Wing informed that the Training Courses were designed in a manner that the modern day training needs of the civil servants were duly addressed. In this connection, TMR Wing collaborated with reputed national level organisations like the IBA Karachi and Centre for Economic Research in Pakistan (CERP) Lahore.
The trainees attended Certificate Courses designed and administered in collaboration with IBA Karachi and CERP Lahore.
The Secretary TMR Wing further informed that it was ensured that the Trainings are a well balanced scheme of Training Tools, ranging from classroom-based lectures to well designed group assignments, individual research & communication skills, exposure to working of local, national & international organisations, etc.
Equal focus was put on the leadership attitude of the trainees so that they might enhance their capacity to take up leadership roles and ensure better service delivery.
At the end, the Chief Secretary Sindh distributed the Certificates to the Trainee Officers, which was followed by the Group Photos with the participants of 1st SMC & 5th CSTP. TF REPORT
